EVNT ("EVNT," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the EVNT mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using EVNT, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Profile photo
  • Event content you upload as a host, including event images and artist photos
  • Account identifiers (such as user ID)
  • Purchase history related to tickets

This information is collected when you create an account, complete your profile, purchase tickets, create or manage events as a host, or contact support.

B. Location Information

With your permission, we use your device's location while you are using the app to:

  • Show events near you
  • Display how far away an event is
  • Filter events by distance

Location access is optional. If you decline, the app remains fully usable — events are shown without distance information. You can change this at any time in your device settings.

We do not track your location in the background, and we do not store a history of your movements.

C. Usage and Interaction Data

We collect data about how you use the Service, including feature usage and event engagement, to operate and improve it.

D. Diagnostic Information

We collect crash reports and performance metrics to maintain and improve reliability.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage accounts
  • To provide core functionality, including ticket purchase and entry
  • To display relevant events
  • To process payments
  • To send transactional messages about your account, tickets, and events
  • To send marketing messages, where you have separately consented (see Section 3)
  • To provide customer support
  • To maintain security and prevent fraud
  • To improve performance and user experience

We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Communications and SMS

Transactional messages. We send emails relating to your account and purchases — password resets, ticket confirmations, and event updates. These are necessary to provide the Service and are not marketing.

Marketing messages. With your express consent, we send promotional emails and text messages (SMS/MMS) about events, offers, and announcements.

  • Marketing SMS consent is collected separately through a checkbox that is not pre-selected.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can buy tickets without agreeing to marketing messages.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
  • You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or contacting us.

We use a third-party messaging provider to deliver SMS. Your phone number is shared with that provider solely to deliver messages you have consented to receive.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. EVNT does not store or have direct access to your full payment card details. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We share limited information with service providers who help us operate the Service:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • SimpleTexting — SMS delivery, for users who have consented to marketing messages
  • Vercel — website hosting

Each is required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we authorize.

When you purchase a ticket, the event organizer receives the information necessary to admit you to their event.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, meet legal or contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal information. Records required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes may be retained as required by law.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, and withdraw consent.

Account deletion is available directly in the app. For other requests, contact us using the details below.

8. Age Requirement

EVNT is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
